The Coliseum Square Association is pleased to present A Day in the Lower Garden District. This event will showcase five beautiful and diverse homes including those at 1350 Camp Street, 1709 Coliseum Street, 2045 Coliseum Street, 928 Eurterpe Street and 1430 Euterpe Street. At Felicity Church, the hub of activity for the day, enjoy three seminars from local experts including Christy Hitchcock, Julie Simpson and Charles Chamberlain.
Curious if you have a treasure hiding in your home? Event goers will have an opportunity to have a piece of art, sculpture or silver evaluated by experts from New Orleans Auction Galleries at our Evaluation Fair!
Ticket holders will receive a beautiful book including details on each home and a map of local businesses which will include exclusive offers for patrons of A Day in the Lower Garden District. The Coliseum Square Association Parks Committee is embarking on a campaign to restore the Lafon Fountain. The Fountain is located in Coliseum Square adjacent to Camp Street across the street from the International School of Louisiana.

6:30PM AT THE BRIDGE LOUNGE
Every year the Coliseum Square Association collects and distributes snacks to our 6th District police officers during the Mardi Gras season. The officers work long hours while we enjoy the parades and the snacks help them make it through the long days and nights. The officers prefer healthy snacks that they can keep in their pockets and munch on when they are hungry. Fruits, nuts and creative snacks are more appreciated than potato chips and other less nourishing foods.
Individually bagged travel snacks that can be taken on the run are highly desired.

We are pleased to announce the Board of Directors for the Coliseum Square Association for the year 2013. The board was elected by our general membership at the annual meeting on January 20th, 2013.
Join us in thanking the following people for their willingness to roll up their sleeves, get involved in the neighborhood and serve on the board. The CSA has been instrumental in the revival of the Lower Garden District for 40 years and we continue to strive to make our neighborhood one of the most livable in the city. Without the decades of hard work, dedication and volunteer time of people like these, the LGD would be a very different place than we know today.

For three mornings each Mardi Gras, CSA provides a hot breakfast to our 6th District Police Officers. This is the neighborhood’s way of thanking them for the long, stressful hours they work while we’re out celebrating. There are a number of ways you can help:
Volunteer to cook. (It’s simple-eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.)
Saturday, February 9th 5am-8am
Sunday, February 10th 5am-8am
Tuesday, February 12th 3am-5:30am & 5:30-8am
Provide individually packaged, travel snacks (cookies, chex mix, carrot sticks, etc.) for the afternoon officers
Pick up/transport Sysco breakfast supplies to 6th District
Solicit donations from neighborhood businesses
